Cybersource PrisonPC empowers prison facilities to allow or deny various media options and system features as required. The specially-developed desktops have been designed to provide a full multimedia experience including HDTV 720p and 1080i video, internal amplifier, volume control, stereo speakers and headphone jack. Desktops can play CDs and DVDs, eliminating the need for CD and video players in the cells, in-turn reducing locations for contraband to be hidden.

Streaming and Cached Media
A library of cached DVDs on the server can be accessed by the prisoners on demand. This can include educational and informational videos or individual prisoners' DVDs. Staff can place time-based restrictions on when media is accessed.

Religious Services
Prisoners can be provided with 'electronic church services', accessing pre-recorded video and audio files of church services and similar in the privacy of their cells. Such files are made freely available by churches of many denominations. This is particularly valuable to correctional facilities which may have prisoners of minority religions who might otherwise be subjected to intolerance and bullying.

Live Television
Free-to-air and cable TV can be distributed through the PrisonPC network. Prisoners can tune-in to individual shows and movies on the desktop computer, relinquishing the need for a television in their cell. Shows can also be recorded and played at a time more appropriate to the facilities timetable.

Online Radio
Similar to the Live Television feature, prisoners can access individual radio stations on their desktop computer. Custodial staff are able to rebroadcast not only local radio stations but other stations from anywhere in the world, thereby encouraging multiculturalism.
